How it works
What happens after I write an entry?
Write 20 words or more and Sorushi can ask one to three questions about what you wrote, aimed at the part you skipped past. The free plan includes one round a day, and Pro up to 30. How the follow-up questions work
Does Sorushi remember what I wrote before?
Yes, in a set way. Each question reads short excerpts from your four latest earlier entries and from one entry each around a month, three months and a year back, plus your goals and recent patterns. Long-term memory in an AI journal
How does pattern recognition work?
Sorushi reads your entries from the last 30 days and keeps the patterns it finds. Patterns update once a month on the free plan and as you write on Pro. Noticing patterns in your thinking
What are synthesis reports?
Weekly and monthly reports that read a whole week or month of entries together and say what it was about. The free plan includes your first three, and Pro is unlimited. How synthesis reports work
Can Sorushi track my goals?
Yes, on Pro. It notices goals you mention, asks about the ones that go quiet, and sends a weekly goal digest by email. A journal that tracks goals
How long should my entries be?
Write 20 words or more to get questions back. Longer entries give richer patterns and reports, but there is no daily quota or streak to hit. Journaling in short entries
Do I need prompts to start?
No. Write whatever is on your mind, or pick a prompt from the library if you are stuck. Journaling prompts
Can I import my old journal?

Privacy
Is my journal private?
Yes. Your entries are encrypted at rest and in transit, and your writing goes to Anthropic's Claude only to write your own questions and reports. Privacy policy
Does the AI train on my journal entries?
No. Sorushi uses Anthropic's API under terms that prohibit training on your data, and no other AI provider receives your writing. Privacy policy
Is Sorushi end-to-end encrypted?
No. An AI has to read an entry to respond to it, so entries are encrypted at rest and in transit instead. Journaling app privacy and security

What is a good alternative to Rosebud?

Is there a Day One alternative with AI?
Yes. Reflection and Sorushi include AI on free plans, and Sorushi imports a Day One export so your archive comes with you. Day One alternatives with AI
