About Sorushi

Sorushi is an AI journaling app that reads your entries and replies with follow-up questions, pattern recognition, and weekly reflection reports.

You write an entry. Sorushi reads it and asks one question about what you actually wrote. Over weeks, it connects what you write today with what you wrote before, and turns it into reports you can read in a few minutes.

What Sorushi does

  • Follow-up questions. After you write, it asks a question aimed at what you said, not a generic prompt.
  • Patterns over time. It notices themes that keep coming back across your entries.
  • Weekly and monthly reports. Short summaries of what you wrote about and what changed, plus a yearly review on Pro.
  • Goals that do not quietly disappear. On Pro, it spots goals you mention and asks about the ones that go quiet.
  • The everyday basics. Several journals, templates, tags, mood, search, reminders, streaks, and an “On this day” look back.
  • Your data stays yours. Import from Day One, Journey, or Markdown, and export or delete everything whenever you like.

Why it exists

Most journals store what you write and stay silent. The noticing is left to you, and most of it never happens. Sorushi is built on one idea: a journal should read what you wrote and help you think about it. The questions are the point.

How the AI handles your writing

Your entries are sent to Anthropic’s Claude only to generate your own questions, patterns, and reports, under terms that prohibit training on your data. The embeddings that power search and pattern detection are made on Sorushi’s own servers, not by an outside AI provider. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

The details, including every service involved, are in the privacy policy.

What Sorushi is not

  • Not therapy, and not a medical service. It is a journaling tool. If you are struggling, please talk to a professional.
  • Not a chatbot. Your entry comes first, and the question exists to deepen it.
  • Not a notes app. It is built for writing about your life, not for storing lists.
